Validate offline merchants with confidence

The Trusted Agentic Commerce Enablement Platform helps PSPs prepare,
govern, and audit merchants across agent-driven commerce through
continuous monitoring, policy controls, and audit-ready evidence.

Agentic commerce is a model where AI agents autonomously browse, compare, and purchase from merchants on behalf of consumers. For PSPs, it introduces new risk vectors - agents can misrepresent pricing, surface out-of-stock inventory, or trigger disputes when what was promised doesn't match what's delivered. PSPs that govern the agent-merchant channel proactively reduce chargebacks and VAMP exposure while unlocking a fast-growing revenue stream for their merchants.
Ballerine operates in two continuous phases: Enablement and Governance. During enablement, the platform verifies merchant eligibility, configures agent-specific policy controls (regional limits, max transaction values), and generates readiness profiles that can be programmatically submitted for agent-platform evaluation. Once enabled, it shifts to continuous governance - monitoring inventory integrity, detecting policy drift, flagging behavioral anomalies, and producing audit-ready evidence for every check.
The platform continuously monitors five risk categories: inventory integrity checks that verify stock and catalog data match what agents expose to buyers, policy drift detection that flags when merchant return or pricing policies diverge from agent representations, merchant legitimacy signals including beneficial-ownership and business-status changes, behavioral anomaly detection for unusual traffic spikes or transaction patterns, and automated remediation workflows that alert PSPs and merchants before issues escalate to disputes.
It is ongoing. After initial readiness preparation, the platform operates as a live trust and governance layer between PSPs and agentic commerce platforms. Changes in inventory, catalog, policies, and risk signals are monitored continuously. PSPs receive real-time alerts, dashboards, and immutable audit logs without re-onboarding merchants - ensuring that compliance and trust don't decay after the initial enablement.
