The Role
What We Do?
What You'll Do
You will own the solution design and implementation of Ballerine's Agentic Commerce product for acquirers, payment facilitators, and marketplaces. This is a player-manager role sitting within the Product team, combining deep domain expertise with hands-on customer engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end solution delivery for Agentic Commerce deployments, from scoping through go-live
- Work directly with risk and compliance teams at customer organizations to define workflows, configure policies, and validate outputs
- Translate merchant risk, chargeback, and dispute management requirements into product configurations and implementation plans
- Serve as the domain authority for merchant acquiring risk within the product team, informing roadmap decisions with operational knowledge
- Act as the primary point of contact with LLM partners, managing the relationship, aligning on use cases, and coordinating joint development efforts
- Manage implementation timelines, customer expectations, and cross-functional dependencies during deployment
- Document learnings from implementations to improve onboarding materials, playbooks, and product defaults
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in merchant risk, payment operations, or chargeback and dispute management
- Prior experience in a solutions, implementation, or technical account management role at a payments company, acquirer, or risk platform
- Deep understanding of the merchant lifecycle: onboarding, underwriting, monitoring, chargeback representment, and dispute resolution
- Experience working with or alongside LLM providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind) in a product or solutions capacity
- Ability to work across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams without formal authority
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate operational complexity into clear requirements
- Experience with hybrid work environments and managing multiple customer implementations simultaneously
