The Role
Risk and compliance teams at acquirers and PSPs are ready to put agentic AI to work.
The hard part is execution inside a regulated environment. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you embed with our customers' risk, compliance, and operations teams and make deployments actually land: integrated with their core systems, aligned with their compliance policies, and delivering measurable outcomes their auditors and card schemes can live with.
What We Do?
What You'll Do
- Embed deeply with customers (underwriting, risk ops, and compliance teams) to understand their specific workflows, data, and constraints
- Design and build integrations between Ballerine and customer systems: core processing, CRMs, case management, data providers
- Configure and extend underwriting, monitoring, and screening workflows to match each customer's risk policy
- Help customers redesign manual processes into agentic ones, with the right guardrails and human oversight
- Take deployments from discovery through pilot to production, then keep improving them based on real usage
- Work through real-world constraints: data residency, audit trails, model governance, scheme and regulator expectations
- Feed what you learn in the field back into our various products and capabilities
What You Bring
- A hands-on engineer (backend, full-stack, or solutions) who is happy owning outcomes, not just tickets
- Comfortable with APIs, data flows, integrations, and ambiguity
- A clear communicator who can sit across from a Chief Compliance Officer and an engineer in the same meeting
- High-ownership, bias to action, energized by customer environments
A strong advantage: background in the space we serve: financial services, payments, acquiring, risk, or compliance.
